FAQs

I am a 2019/20 Season Ticket holder, can I attend the game?

Yes. In addition, you have been given priority and can purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

I live in a Tier 3 area, can I attend the game?

No. Visit Gov.UK to find out if you are in a Tier 3 area. Every ticket will be cross-referenced with our database, any attendees from Tier 3 will have their tickets voided.

I am NOT a 2019/20 Season Ticket holder, can I attend the game?

Yes. Our 2019/20 Season Ticket holders have priority, however once their period of time to purchase tickets has finished, tickets will be available for general sale.

Every ticket purchased during the allotted period of time Season Ticket holders can purchase tickets will be cross-referenced with our database, any non-Season Ticket holders will have their tickets voided.

What happens if my ticket is voided?

If - for any reason - your ticket is voided, your order will be cancelled and you will be refused entry.

If my ticket is voided, can I get a refund?

No. We will not offer an exchange or refund for your order unless the fixture is cancelled, moved or rescheduled - if you feel you have exceptional circumstances such as having a positive Covid-19 test or having to self-isolate, please E-Mail ticketing@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk.

How many tickets can be purchased in one order?

In line with the government's 'Rule of Six', the maximum purchase and party size is six attendees from the same 'bubble' – please review Gov.UK for the relevant guidance on ‘bubbles’.

All attendees must sit in their allocated seat as such must only sit with people who they purchased a ticket with, remaining in their ‘bubble’. When standing accommodation is opened following a successful pilot fixture, groups must remain socially distanced, with a maximum bubble size of six and again being based on those in the ‘bubble’ purchased together.

Why has £1.32 been added to each ticket price?

The implementation of our online ticket system and changes to our processes come with an added cost – we appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions/concerns, please get in touch.

What if I am ill and cannot attend?

Supporters are advised not to attend matches if displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.

We will not offer an exchange or refund for your order unless the fixture is cancelled, moved or rescheduled - if you feel you have exceptional circumstances such as having a positive Covid-19 test or having to self-isolate, please E-Mail ticketing@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Yes. You will need to bring a form of Photo ID as well as your ticket confirmation (with QR code) sent via E-Mail - this can be printed or shown on-screen. Concessions may be required to show proof of age or qualifying documentation.

Can I pay for a ticket on the day?

No. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

Are tickets transferable?

No. Supporters are advised that in line with the governments Test and Trace scheme it will be essential that only the named ticket holder attends the match and the passing on of tickets will be strictly prohibited. For adults, Photo ID will be required to match the name on the match ticket.

Can I watch the game from the allocated stand/seat that my Season Ticket was valid for?

With social distancing measures in place throughout Bootham Crescent, only a limited number of seats are available and supporters will have to watch the game from the stand/seat(s) that they have purchased.

I was expecting my ticket confirmation to arrive via E-Mail, but it hasn’t. What should I do?

First, check your Junk/Spam folder - if you still haven't received a confirmation E-Mail, you can visit the Event Page and request your ticket confirmation to be re-sent via E-Mail.

I have printed my ticket twice, will I still be able to get in?

Each ticket has a unique code which will be scanned upon entrance. 
If your ticket has already been scanned then you will not be able to gain access to the stadium.

What if I forget my ticket?

If you fail to present your unique code, you will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Before I arrive at the stadium, do I need to self-assess myself for Covid-19 symptoms?

All attendees should undertake a personal assessment before leaving home. Supporters should not attend if they are feeling unwell or suffering from Covid-19 symptoms (which include a new or persistent cough, high temperature, sore throat, headache, or a loss of sense of smell or taste). Those who are self-isolating or have recently tested positive should not attend.

Please ensure you read the Code of Conduct prior to purchasing tickets.

Will the Snack Bars/Hospitality Areas be open?

No. There will be no food or drink on sale at the stadium.

Will the Club Shop be open before/during/after the match?

No. The Club Shop will be closed, although the Online Store remains open online 24/7.

How long should I wear my face mask/covering for?

Face coverings are mandatory to be worn for the entire time at Bootham Crescent, from the point of spectators arriving at entry points / the car park, to the point of leaving the stadium / car park. If you are exempt for medical reasons, we request that a face visor be worn.

What happens on arrival at the stadium?

Please ensure that you arrive in plenty of time to go through the entry procedures, including a temperature check, and note that you will only be granted stadium entry through your specified gate.

For the Pop Stand, head to Exit A on Grosvenor Road.

For the Main Stand, head to the Main Gate.

If you are seated in the Enclosure, you will go through Turnstile 13.

If you are seated in the Family Stand E-B, you will go through Turnstile 9.

If you are seated in Main Stand Section A, you will go through Turnstile 10.

If you are seated in Main Stand Section B, you will go through Entrance B.

If you are seated in Main Stand Section C, you will go through Turnstile 12.

For the David Longhurst Stand, head to the Main Gate and enter through Exit E.

As you enter, your unique QR Code will be scanned, you will be asked to show Photo ID and you may need to provide evidence of concession – please have all of the above ready upon arrival.

Please avoid bringing bags with you to the stadium so as to avoid delays on entry.

Can I leave my seat?

Attendees should remain in their seat / standing accommodation are for the full game where possible. People should only leave their viewing location to use toilets or leave the stadium, other than in emergency situations. Those in standing accommodation must remain the same viewing position for the duration, movement to an alternative position within the terrace is not permitted.

What happens at full time?

Stewards will manage the exit row-by-row, reducing the flow of people around people. This will mean that people do not unnecessarily have to pass each other on the stairs.

Please ensure you keep socially distanced and listen to the stewards and/or PA announcements.
