Striker Macaulay Langstaff moved to York City from Vanarama National League side Gateshead in June 2018.

Langstaff, 22, became the fourth player to make the move from Gateshead to City this summer - following in the footsteps of Russ Penn, Jordan Burrow, and Wes York.

After starting his career in the Northern League with Billingham Synthonia, Langstaff joined Gateshead in February 2017.

He made five appearances for Gateshead in the 2017-18 season but also spent two periods on loan at Blyth Spartans in Vanarama National League North - making his Spartans' debut against City at Croft Park in August.

He spent a month on loan with Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC in February/March 2019.
