Striking options set for timely boost

16th April 2018

Strikers Alex Kempster and Louis Almond are both in contention for tomorrow night's trip to FC United of Manchester, according to manager Martin Gray.

Kempster returned from a three match absence against Gainsborough Trinity last weekend but limped off at the start of the second half.

Almond, meanwhile, has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury having previously spent four months on the sidelines with a dislocated shoulder.

City will still be without 25-goal leading marksman Jon Parkin following knee surgery and on-loan midfielder Alex Pattison is doubtful after being substituted on his return to the first team following injury against Gainsborough.

"Pattison will probably be struggling," said Gray. "Alex Kempster has a got a great chance and Louis Almond should also be back in the squad."

Tuesday night's Vanarama National League North fixture kicks-off at 7.45pm at Broadhurst Park.
