Striker Langstaff departs on loan

By Ian Appleyard | 12th February 2019

Striker Macaulay Langstaff has today joined Vanarama National League North club Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC on a one-month loan deal.

Langstaff, 22, joined City in the summer from Gateshead and has scored five goals in his 28 appearances.

Manager Steve Watson said: "There are a number of players ahead of Macaulay in the squad and you can only have five substitutes.

"I know about him and I rated him at Gateshead - where I would have offered him a new deal - but I am currently looking to bring in another striker or attacking player so it is more beneficial if Macaulay is out there getting games.

"I hope that he comes back to us full of confidence for the last month of the season and gets back in our team," Watson added. "However, for now, a loan move is beneficial to both parties."
