Shirt presentation to fund-raisers

York residents John Henderson and Julie Lee raised £2000 for the Alzheimer's Society after walking a marathon 26 miles along Hadrian's Wall.

The pair were presented with framed shirts as a thankyou for their efforts at last weekend's league game against Altrincham.

John, who grew up in Altrincham, wore the red shirt of the Minstermen for the trek while Julie, a proud native of York, wore Altrincham's red-and-white stripes.

City director Richard Adams and Altrincham director Bill Waterson are pictured making the halftime presentation to John (far left) and Julie who also carried out a bucket collection at Saturday's game.
