New 'Under Armour' kit unveiled

By Ian Appleyard | 6th July 2018

York City Football Club is delighted to unveil the club's new Under Armour home and away kit for the 2018/19 Vanarama National League North season.

Home shirts evoke memories of the City shirts worn in the 1950's - traditionally red in colour with white V-neck retro-style collars.

Home shorts are navy blue and the home socks are red.

The away shirt, shorts, and socks are all completely white with a V-neck retro-style collar.

The away kit will be worn for the first time in tomorrow's pre-season friendly at Shildon AFC.

The new kits are not currently available to purchase but more details will be announced next week.

Sean Newton, Russ Penn, Tom Allan, Jake Wright, Wes York, Adriano Moke, and Ryan Whitley modelled the new kits today at Bootham Crescent.

"I think it's really nice and the lads feel comfortable in it," said Newton."It's a little bit retro with the V-neck white collar. Hopefully, it's going to be a successful season in the Under Armour kit."

Penn said: "It's great and Under Armour is getting bigger in football. It looks glossy, the colours are great, and it looks fresh. It looks like it should be up there trying to win the league next year. I am looking forward to playing it."
