Gallery: Community Stadium latest

10th April 2019

Our special photograph gallery highlights the current state of progress at the new Community Stadium.

As previously reported, City's move from Bootham Crescent to Monks Cross has been delayed until next season but excitement is mounting as we edge closer to the start of a significant new chapter in our history.

The images below offer an insight into the lay-out of the new 8,000 capacity all-seater stadium which is part of the York Stadium Leisure Complex owned by City of York Council.

Although the pitch has yet to be laid, the ground is in a stage of advanced preparation and seats have now been installed in two of the four stands.

Seat frames are currently being installed in the main stand while work is continuing on the interior and exterior of the stadium.

Photographs (below) by Ian Appleyard, York City Football Club's Head of Press and Public Relations, all taken on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
