CEOs to sleep over at Bootham Crescent for Charity

By Dan Simmonite | 4th March 2020

Bootham Crescent is hosting a CEO Sleepout event on the 16th April to help battle homelessness.

The CEO Sleepout charity has partnered with the York City FC Foundation for the second year running and aim to bring together senior level executives and corporation owners from the local business community to spend the night under the stars.

This will allow them to experience a little of what those without homes go through every single night. Participants will camp out in the David Longhurst Stand from 8pm to 6:30am the next day.

Since set up, CEO Sleepout has raised over £2.7 million for charity.

Paula Stainton of the YCFC Foundation said: “I can honestly say it will be one of the most rewarding nights sleep that you’ll ever have.

“I was incredibly proud last year to be one of the 50 sleepers, who raised £25,000 for organisations offering vital support and services to York.”

CEO Sleepout’s chief executive, Bianca Robinson, added: “We want to challenge the York business community to show their generosity and get involved.

“We’re inviting CEOs, senior level staff and their teams from across York to take part in what is sure to be a memorable and rewarding night.”
