Become a 'Cancer Champion'

York City Football Club's Foundation is joining forces with Humber, Coast and Vale Cancer Alliance to offer supporters and the local community an opportunity to become 'Cancer Champions'.
It is widely proven that early detection of cancer saves lives. It takes only half a day to become a 'Cancer Champion' by learning how to spot the signs and symptoms, approach the subject, and recommend an early screening.
You don’t need any qualifications or previous knowledge about cancer, all you need to do is attend one of our free half-day sessions which are laid back and informal and run by 'ordinary' people (not doctors or people who speak in jargon).
The sessions will take place in the 1922 Bar at Bootham Crescent on Thursday October 11 and Thursday November 8 between 1pm-4pm.
To book please email eryccg.cancerchampion@nhs.net or contact Sophie Lancaster on 07519 120805 or visit the Foundation office at Bootham Crescent.
