Ryan Fallowfield signs for York City

By Dan Simmonite | 29th June 2022

Ryan Fallowfield has signed for York City upon his release from League Two club Harrogate Town.

The 26-year-old spent five seasons with the North Yorkshire side, guiding the club to two promotions and into the Football League for the first time.

He made a total of 134 appearances at right back for the Town.

Previous to Harrogate, Fallowfield spent time at North Ferriby United in the National League after progressing through the youth team of then Premier League club Hull City.

After signing, Fallowfield said: “I’ll bring energy – I’ll be up and down constantly – I’d say that is one of my main strengths. Hopefully I can get assists for strikers as well.

“I want to get another promotion and I’m sure the club do as well. It’s a huge club and is followed up and down the country by good fans so that’s our aim I’d like to think – it’s definitely my aim.”

The deal is subject to FA and National League approval.
