Akil Wright leaves York City

We can confirm that Akil Wright will be leaving the club this summer to take up an opportunity with a Football League side.

Akil, who was signed from Wrexham in 2020, spent two seasons with the Minstermen and played a pivotal part in the National League North playoff run which ended in promotion.

He made a total of 54 appearances and scored 6 goals in red and blue.
