York City Legends event announced for April
The club’s Hospitality & Events department are excited to confirm several huge events spread across the business end of the season, with some famous names heading to the LNER Community Stadium on matchdays!
Widely regarded as one of the most successful York City sides in the club’s history, a host of City legends from the 1970s are reuniting at the Spennymoor Town match on Good Friday, 15th April.
City spent two seasons in the second-highest tier of the English game in the Seventies and we are delighted that Chris Jones, Graeme Crawford, Phil Burrows, Chris Topping, Barry Lyons, Jimmy Seal, Dennis Wann, Pat Lally and others will be telling their stories about an era that saw York scale heights that have never been reached before and never have since.
Further matchday events are also planned, including An Afternoon with Jon ‘The Beast’ Parkin!

Speaking on the events, Liam McGuinness, the club’s Commercial Manager said: “We’ve welcomed almost 6,000 hospitality guests through our doors since the start of the season and we’ve been blown away by the feedback on the quality of the matchday hospitality experience.
"It has been great to have so many ex-City players share their time with us this season and what we have planned for the business end of the season is cracking. We can’t wait to welcome you to watch City In Style!”
