By admin | 8th June 2017

YORK City are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jon Worsnop on a one-year deal.

Worsnop, 34, began his career at Bradford City before taking in spells at Charlton Athletic, Chester, Alfreton Town and most recently Bradford Park Avenue last season.

Worsnop signed for Mark Bower's side and helped Park Avenue escape relegation from the National League North last season.

Speaking about his signing, Worsnop said: "York's a huge club, I'm a Yorkshireman, I've been to the ground as a kid, I've played at the ground as I was coming through the ranks at Bradford City, and when the opportunity came to sign for a club like York it was a no-brainer."

We would like to take the chance to welcome Jon to York City, and we look forward to seeing his contributions on the pitch this season.
