RIP Alf Patrick

York City Football Club is saddened to learn the passing of legendary striker Alf Patrick, aged 100.
Alf played for City between 1946 and 1952, scoring 117 goals in 241 league and cup appearances – which puts him fourth on the all-time goalscoring list.
The York-born striker also holds the record for most goals scored in a single game for York City – with five against Rotherham United in November 1948.
Our thoughts are with all Alf’s family and friends at this time.
RIP.
