Oliver Signs For Morecambe

Vadaine Oliver Leaves
30th June 2017

Striker departs for Globe Arena...

YORK City can announce that striker Vadaine Oliver has left the Club to join League Two side Morecambe.

Oliver signed for the Minstermen back in 2015, scoring his first goal for the Club in a 3-0 away win against Newport County in September of that year.

He signed for Notts County on loan at the start of the 2016-17 season after falling out of favour in the starting XI, but returned to the Club in excellent form in January.

He was one of the key playmakers in City's attempt to avoid relegation from the National League, scoring 10 times in 23 appearances and firmly establishing himself as one of the Minstermen's big hitters in the second half of the season, including scoring City's second goal in the 3-2 FA Trophy Final victory against Macclesfield Town at Wembley last month.

We would like to wish Vadaine the best of luck at Morecambe, and we thank him for his efforts while wearing a City shirt.

Elsewhere in the Club, defenders Joshua Robinson and Jack Higgins have left the Club by mutual consent. We would also like to wish them both luck in their future careers.
