Darlington match information

14th August 2017

York City play host to Darlington on Tuesday night in National League North (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Quakers, who finished fifth in the table last season, are one of only three clubs in the division still boasting a 100 per cent record this season following victories over Salford City, Gainsborough Trinity, and Alfreton Town.

City are currently three points behind in fifth place after winning two of the opening three games.

Former Sunderland midfielder Martin Gray is now in his sixth season as Darlington's manager.

Their squad includes striker Scott Fenwick who was released by the Minstermen after making 24 appearances for the club last season.

The two clubs have not met since season 2011-12 when both fixtures in the Blue Square Premier League ended in 2-2 draws.

Tuesday night's fixture will be the 110th meeting between the two sides with City having won 45 of those games against Darlington's 36.
