By Dan Simmonite | 11th August 2020

York City will play in the National League North next season which consists of 22 teams.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic-related cancellation of the four step 3 leagues' 2019–20 seasons, no teams were promoted to or relegated from the National League North.

AFC Fylde and Chorley drop down from the National League and will be the league newcomers next term.

City fans can expect to drive a total of 4,525 miles with the longest journey being a round trip to Edgar Street, home of Hereford FC, which will take approximately 7 hours and 388 miles in the car. The shortest round trip is via the A59 to Guiseley which totals 67 miles and 2 hours full circle.

In terms of stadia, the Gateshead International Stadium will be the largest, with a capacity of 11,800. The New Windmill Ground, which houses Leamington FC, will be the smallest ground in the division with a 2,300 capacity.

The 2020/21 season is due to commence on Saturday 3rd October 2020 with the FA Cup second round qualifying.

Fixtures will be announced by the National League in due course.
