Bootham Crescent auction ends

1st March 2021

The Bootham Crescent Blind Auction ended at midday today with 1,350+ bids for the 132 items listed.

Auction items and ‘buy now’ winning bidders will be contacted as soon as possible by the club’s admin team with an invoice and details on how to pay.

We thank supporters for the great response to the auction which will raise vital funds for the club.

Can I still bid on items from the auction?

Unfortunately not. The items in the blind auction had a deadline of Monday 1st March midday.

 

Can I still purchase a seat?

Yes, some seating is still available. To view options and pricing please click here.

 

When can I collect my seats?

To allow our grounds staff to remove and store each seat safely, we are undertaking the removal of all seats in a staggered approach. This means that we are offering the collection of seats in stages, commensurate with their removal, as follows:

Collection Stage: w/c 15th March

Stand: The Main Stand (Sections A and C)/The Family Stand inc. Enclosure (All Sections)/The Popular Stand (Sections U and V)

Collection Stage: w/c 22nd March

Stand: The Main Stand (Sections A and C)/The Family Stand inc. Enclosure (All Sections)/The Popular Stand (Section W)

Collection Stage: w/c 5th April (Monday 5th is a bank holiday)

Stand: The Main Stand (Sections A and C)/The Family Stand inc. Enclosure (All Sections)/The Popular Stand (Section X)

Collection Stage: w/c 12th April

Stand: The Main Stand (Sections A and C)/The Family Stand inc. Enclosure (All Sections)/The Popular Stand (Section Y)

Collection Stage: w/c 19th April

Collection Stage: TBC - it is not yet confirmed when seats from this section can be removed so supporters are kindly asked to select later weeks for collection

What is the protocol for collecting my seat?

Those who have purchased a seat have been sent instructions via email on how to safely collect their seats by means of click and collect with a designated time slot.

What if I cannot pick up my seat at the designated time?

Seats can be stored for a limited time at Bootham Crescent, however those who purchased seats are encouraged to collect as soon as possible. Seats are for collection only and no items will be delivered.

Items which are not collected before the club vacates Bootham Crescent (date TBC) will be subject to a handling/storage charge in addition to the purchase price.

 

Can you deliver my items I have bought?

We do not have the capacity to ship items to auction winners. All items are listed for collection only from Bootham Crescent. Alternatively, auction winners can book a courier to pick up from the ground – however we ask this is arranged and agreed with the club beforehand.

As the club is vacating Bootham Crescent, to allow Persimmon to take possession of the site (Date TBC), after this handover of possession no storage will be available.

 

Where is my Certificate of Authenticity?

You will receive a digital Certificate of Authenticity (mockup below) via e-mail within 7 days of collection. Please make sure to provide an email address so we can deliver to you safely and securely. We are unable to print certificates.

 

Can I buy turf from the pitch or concrete from the David Longhurst Stand or Brick from the Main Stand?

All three items will be made available once we vacate Bootham Crescent.

 

I want a different item which isn’t listed on the brochure where can I put my bid?

If there is an item not included on the list, please fill out this form, and express your interest in your desired item and the club will contact you regarding the possible purchase.

 

Are any items being retained by the club and being moved to the new stadium?

A number of items are being retained – they will either be incorporated into the memorial area within the new development or taken to the new stadium - ie: the clock from the Popular Stand, the War Memorials Plaques. Please keep an eye on updates on our legacy plans for the site.

 

What is happening to the player photos? Have these been offered to the players or families first?

Where possible, individuals have been offered their sentimental items. Other items are part of the ‘Blind Auction’ and available to purchase by supporters.

 

Will we find out who has won the items?

The Data Protection Act 2018 prevents us from revealing who has won particular items. However, supporters, football clubs and businesses have been successful in their bids and where appropriate we can reveal where items will be repurposed with consent from purchasers.

 

Will there be a second chance to purchase items?

We will contact winning bidders in the coming days. If winners do not process their payment within the allocated time second chance offers will be issued to the next highest bidder.
