City's players visit Children's Ward

14th December 2017

City's players and management visited the Children's Ward at York District Hospital this afternoon to spread a little Christmas cheer.

Manager Martin Gray and his squad handed out City 'goody bags' and spent time chatting with children, parents, and hospital staff.

Striker Jon Parkin, who was among the City party, said: "It's gone really well. Hopefully, the kids have enjoyed seeing us. It is just something that we can give back. If we can put a little smile on their faces when they are having a bit of a tough time, that's really good."

The annual visit was organised by the club's Foundation with support from Benenden, Just Sport, and Sarah Stelling.
