GOALS from Jordan Burrow (2) and Lewis Hawkins gave City a 3-1 victory today at Kidderminster Harriers in the third qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Goalkeeper Adam Bartlett also saved a late penalty from Ed Williams after Lee Vaughan had reduced the deficit when scoring for the hosts midway through the second half.

Centreback Joe Tait returned from suspension and Alex Harris and Nathan Dyer were recalled as manager Sam Collins made three changes to the side beaten 3-0 at Altrincham in the league seven days earlier.

On loan centreback Kennedy Digie and striker Joe Ironside were both ineligible against their parent club and Josh Law dropped to the bench. Jordan Burrow kept the captain's armband.

Former captain Russ Penn lined-up against City for the first time since joining Kidderminster on a free transfer earlier in the month.

City took the lead just two minutes into the game as striker Burrow turned home a low cross into the box by Lewis Hawkins.

Although goalkeeper Adam Bartlett needed to save a Kane Richards header, City enjoyed the majority of the early possession.

On loan winger Alex Bray made life tough for Harriers fullback Lee Vaughan and so nearly doubled City's lead in the 14th minute when his shot was blocked by goalkeeper Brandon Hall's legs.

Bray was the creator of City's second goal which arrived just seven minutes later - the winger skipping into the Harriers area before pulling the ball across the goalmouth where Hawkins tapped home.

City had to weather pressure in the final stages of the first half with Ed Williams forcing a low save from Bartlett and also drilling a shot inches over from the edge of the area

Bartlett also had to be alert to block with his chest with former City striker Ashley Chambers got goalside of the defence.

Bray continued to exert his influence on proceedings after the interval and won the 51st minute penalty which allowed Burrow to score his eighth goal of the season.

Defender Fraser Horsfall tripped Bray just inside the area and Burrow duly drilled the spotkick straight down the middle and past goalkeeper Brandon Hall.

Harriers pulled a goal back in the 67th minute when Vaughan shot home after Bartlett initially saved a shot from Sam Austin.

The home side continued to apply the pressure and were awarded a penalty two minutes from time when Bray fouled Williams.

However, goalkeeper Bartlett pulled off a fine save low to his left to keep out the penalty from Williams and Hawkins blocked the follow-up shot from Richards.
