York City visit Alfreton Town on Saturday afternoon in Vanarama National League North (kick-off 3pm).

The Minstermen moved back into the play-off zone last weekend and will be looking for another victory to bolster the club's promotion push.

Alfreton Town was formed in 1959 following the merger of Alfreton Minors Welfare FC and Alfreton United FC. The new club started life in the Central Alliance before switching to the Midland League in 1961.

Moving up and down the non-league pyramid, they won the Conference North title in 2011 but were relegated back to the sixth tier at the end of the 2014/15 season.

They are now managed by former Grimsby Town defender John McDermott and are currently 15th in the table having lost four of their last five league games.

The club's ground at North Street is now known as The Impact Arena and has a capacity of 3,600. Their average gate this season is just over 400.

The two clubs have played in the same division only once before - the 2011/12 season - when City won at North Street and Alfreton won at Bootham Crescent.
