York St John University 

York St John University is a proud partner of York City Football Club.

York St John was founded on 17 May 1841 and achieved University status in 2006. Their award-winning campus in the heart of York has undergone a £46m transformation over the past 5 years, including a 57 acre sports park on Haxby Road with two 3G pitches, grass pitches for football and rugby, as well as tennis and netball facilities.

York St John believe sport should be a vehicle for positive social change. Their approach is apparent in what they teach, what they research and how they practice sport. They are interested in how they can use sport to challenge social inequality and prejudice, and how society can ensure that everyone benefits from sport regardless of their background.

 

Yorkshire Academy Of Sport

With their philosophy of ‘Move, Perform, Recover’, Yorkshire Academy of Sport are bridging the gap between research and practice in sport science and performance analysis, making this accessible for individuals of all levels and backgrounds. They offer facilities, resources and expertise whilst nurturing the young scientists of the future.
