Goalkeeper Flinders began his professional career with Barnsley in 2005 and despite a frustrating first season for the keeper, still managed to attract the attention of a couple of Premier League clubs who then took him on trial.
At the start of the next campaign, Flinders joined Championship outfit Crystal Palace and made his debut in London weeks later in a Capital One Cup tie against Notts County. He made 10 other appearances for Palace in between loan spells at Gillingham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Yeovil Town, Blackpool and Falkirk.
The keeper signed for Hartlepool United in 2009 where he went on to make over 200 appearances and notch memorable individual achievements, including breaking the record for the most clean sheets in the league for the club.
Flinders also has international experience; he was called up to the England Under-20 squad following an impressive run in between the sticks in the early stages of his career.
