23 year old Right Back

Quick and skilful, Lanre Oyebanjo is a key part of both City’s defence and attack when given a licence to roam forward from his right back berth.

A versatile player, he has also played in central defence and central midfield for City, including playing central midfield and scoring the decisive second goal in the FA Trophy final as part of City’s triumphant Double-winning season of 2011.

Strong in the air, he is already at 23 an extremely important part of City’s team, and will be lining up for his 3rd season in City colours in 2013-14 having signed from Histon in the summer of 2011.

Capped at both U19 and U21 for the Republic of Ireland, getting Lanre to sign another deal was of key importance to manager Nigel Worthington and City fans were delighted when Lanre became another City player to sign a new contract in the summer.
